Default Ivan got us!

Well, we had 13 pine trees uprooted. 2 big oaks broken off, and several sweet gum trees to fall. 3 large pines fell on the house, 1 direct hit on our family room. Ouch! 3 large pines on my shop, guess what was stored in the less than 1 year old 24 x 40 metal building...... thats right the vette! I put the 99 dodge 3/4 ton 4x4, the wifes miata, and the vette in there the night before the huricane. I'm proud to say the building held up under 2 direct hits. 5 grand for the garage repairs, 35 for the house. We had nopower for three days.... my slide in camper took a glancing blow, haven't got it checked out yet..... I know compaired to the folks on the coast and in Florida we didn't get much, and I know all things considered we were blessed. I just feel sorry for all the folks that got it worse than I can imagine.

Sounds like I should say "Congrats!" - Can't imagine going through any of that - how much should anybody have to take?
Maybe no more for the next 20 years?

The important thing is that your family is safe and came out of it ok. The other stuff will get fixed in time. Hang in there.

Leaves behind quite a mess doesnt he...?

Glad the family is okay and sounds like electricity is on!

...third hurricane in a couple of months...no electricity, and no water...

since George hit Aug 13 to date Sept 27 we have been without electricity or water (pump) for 2 weeks...
We have been so blessed through it all!!

We did try to take some of the wind out of Ivans sails...

Peace
Stu

Glad to hear you're all upright and taking in oxygen.

I'm a Catastrophe Adjuster for a major ins company. I've been in Orlando since 8/16/04. Unless you count the 2 times we had to evacuate to the SW coast of Florida to avoid another hit

The good news is that I'll be spending my winter someplace warm

PM me if you have any property claim questions!

Michael

and I complain about the winters in Indiana....

Glad the family is safe, everything else is replaceable. The power of _______ (mother nature, god, whatever your belief) sure can put things into proper perspective.
