I know that the door sticker says 30 PSI cold, but does anyone know what cold temperature is supposed to be?
I filled the tires this morning to 29 PSI when it was 55 degrees. After siting in the sun the pressure was up to 31 PSI and after driving at 60 mph for 30 minutes the pressure was 33 PSI. Outside temp was 63 degrees.
I question how accurate they are. I have a '04 coupe with 4000 miles. My DIC shows 28/29 lbs. air pressure. My handheld pressure gauge shows 30 PSI. I go by the gauge!
Sounds normal; pressure changes with temperature. I always set mine to 32 psi and have to change it as I drive into colder sections of the country. I set the pressure in Tucson before our current trip, and now have 27 lbs. here in cold Illinois.

Yes, tire pressure will go up with differences in outside temp and through driving the car. I would just set the pressure at 30 psi before driving the car.

I put mine at 30 psi but when i get in the car the dic always will show me 29 even though i know i put 30 in because i always check with my tire gauge i don't think the sensors on the tires are perfect.

Tire companies will tell you always follow the door tag. Don't worry about outside temperatures and tire temperatures, just follow the tag.
Mine, is at 30, but yesterday while driving on a curise with other vettes owners to Galveston, Tx..I was at 29 psi for while, but warmed up to 31 psi....sounds normal to me...
As others have stated, cold tire pressure means the temp the tires are from not driving it, usually before the first drive of the day. Tires heat up after driving them and thus so does the pressure inside them. Tire pressure ratings take this into account. So a 30psi rating might end up being 35psi or more after a long drive.
Biggest concern for the runcraps is too high pressure in the rear, they will quickly wear out the centers. 30psi COLD is good. Monitor the tire wear across the tires every couple of months and adjust the pressure accordingly...
