I getting ready to install the hose on the pipe coming out of the firewall (which is no easy task) and was wondering what's the slickest stuff I can apply to the inside of the hose to help it slip on?
Thanks
I recently replaced this little jewel....
Stockman was right about the di-grease, but I used some silicone
seal/glue, hoping that it would help keep the hose in place.
It's been about 6 weeks, and it's still in place.
Now for the fun!
My large hand couldn't get the hose in place, and my wife couldn't do it either.
Here's what finally worked: I'm under the car with the light,
holding the hose in place with a length of 1/8" rod and my wife's small hand reaches in from the top and pushes the hose onto the pipe.
Whew!! But cold air and dry carpet is a GOOD Thing!!
Good luck.
