Consensus IS. Their great for what they are designed to do. If you go to a show and shine you dust then quick detail. Bright and shinny. Wouldn't be without one.

The Duster works great. One other tip ... never use the California Duster immediately after driving your car. You have to let the car cool off before use.

Like someone mentioned before, just make sure you prep it right and wrap it in newspaper for 48 hours to let the excess ingredients that they soak the fibers in seep out. After this, the CD should leave no streaks on your car. One more thing, don't use it on your car after it has been sitting in the sun....the finish will be too hot and some streaking will occur.

I use mine when it has a light coat of dust on the car. Gentle pressure is all you need for it to pick up the dust. When you first get one, be sure to sit it on some newspaper for about 48 hours. This helps with the wax they use on the thing. You may also notice that when you first use it, it may leave some wax streaks on the car. These wipe right off and seem to go away the more you use the duster.

I don't thinks so,,I believe the dirtier it gets , the better it's supposed to work..I think it says on the box not to wash it, but I could be mistaken.

Definitley if you get one, put it in newspaper for a couple of days..this helps get some of the parafin wax off of it..I forgot to do this and used it new and it left little wax marks all over the car but no big deal,,I just washed it and no harm

Why then is the cloth part removeable?

Love my duster, have not washed it in 3 years, just really shake the heavy dust off. Work so far for me.
