The Z is the BEST M-Fing "E" Ticket ride there is for South of $75.000!
..the only downside I've found (& fixed) is the stock shifter.

Looks like he went with the Kirban...and I am wondering how he likes it.

Seems everyone goes with the Ripper, but I have heard the Kirban is even better.

THE BEST: 1. It's a VETTE
2. It's a VETTE
3. It's a VETTE

THE WORST: 1. It's not a ford
2. It's not a dodge
3. It's not a rice burner

0-60 in 4 sec. and 1.0+g plus on the skidpad and you want it to hold a cup of coffee?

"I do not understand you Americans. In Europe, if we want something to drink we stop the car."
--German BMW salesman.

My Z is my daily driver. 26 miles each way to work. Coffee waits until I get to my desk.

Many

~10,600 miles and zero problems.

Buy the car.

Oh, and about the Blose stereo, to this day I still don't even know if the CD player works

I'm not joking either

I listen to the Ti exhaust music.

Pros:

1. Excellent conversation starter - especially with other sports car enthusiasts (European and Japanese included).
2. Good driver's car even on a daily basis.
3. Attracts a lot of attention.

Cons:

1. Conversation killer when "giving a ride" - they either cannot speak or yell so much you have to let them out! (just kidding )
2. You hate to just be a passenger.
3. One state patrolman knows my car and license! (got a warning )

QWK SLVR & Silver TT:

The Kirban is as close to perfection as shifting can get!! After a couple thousand miles, it is like a bolt action on a $12,000 big game rifle. (the HardBar C5R-type delrin **** is the best compliment to the Kirban)

Yes, I always wanted a 427 Vette, and when my factory warranty runs out, I'm GOING TO HAVE ONE! I kept my A4 '89 coupe for 8 years, this Z06 will be around for a lot longer.

HarleyB (I've had the Springer for 16 years!)
P.S.: on the matter of the Bose stereo: I've only had one "good" after market stereo systems (or as I like to call 'em: BAIT for car vandals), and that was back in '77 [ADS/Nakamichi(SP?) - and IT WAS STOLEN with mucho damage to the vehicle] and I concede there are BETTER sound sytems (even factory), but I enjoyed the HELL out of mine just last night... cranked up Supertramp while driving super-legal through Seattle on I-5 at 10 pm. I still can't get the damn smile off my face!

Best:
Lots of Torch RED, outside and inside
1st gear, 2nd gear, 3rd gear, etc.
Smart A/C system

Worst:
Stock Shifter and CAGS (both to be fixed soon)
Too easy to exceed the speed limit
Doors are so light that they sometimes don't close on the first try
