About a month ago, I stopped for gas and when I got ready to leave the car wouldn't start. All the dash lights and the fan worked fine, but when I turned the key there was nothing. It was like I'd left the shift selector in "Drive". I dropped it out of "Park", then put it back in with a little more force and everything worked fine.
Yesterday, the same thing happened again at lunchtime. Except this time I had to move the gear selector several times before the car would start. This time, when the engine started, and even though the selector was in "Park", the car seemed like it wanted to move a little, just for a moment. It's like it was not really in "Park".
Strange problem. Anybody else had it on an A4? Must be a bad switch somewhere.
