For what it is worth I used to be in contact with someone from the SC RR Museum, they invited me down to ride the motor cars, but I never made it, that was when I was living in Charlotte, NC as well. I'm an old railfan as well, selling off a lot of my modeling, railroadania as well now. I guess this is on account that since I am a Conductor for Norfolk Southern I lost a lot of interest in those areas living it day in and day out. I still like RR's but from a different "angle" or perspective now I guess you could say. I'll send you a PM on the RR stuff I am selling off, maybe yourself or someone you know would be interested in some of it. Happy New Year, Oh and I almost forgot...All Aboard!
It is always great to find another railfan here on the vette forum. When i take the vette on a railfan trip, it is great to just sit and look at the vette between trains. West side of Chicago is great for trains, vettes, girls, and whatever else tickles your fancy. What can be better than feeling several thousand horses shake the earth as several large EMDs and GEs power past you, and then, get in your vette and make your own music? I do love the good ol' USA.
