Well, a buddy of mine owns a body shop and was telling me those are ruining paint jobs on daily drivers...when you remove them after a few months...the paint has changed under them...dulled slightly...you can tell exactly where they were after you remove them... I wonder if these graphics can do the same?
i hope not!

ive seen those ribbons, they look like they arent high quality...if the decals that are for the vettes are vinal, im sure there will be no problem

I don`t believe the quality of the product is in question...My understanding is the UV rays being blocked by the ribbons on a daily driver. As a matter of fact a small segment was aired on a local News station about folks complaining about the marks it leaves....remember, they are Magnetic so it`s not an adhesive issue.

4/6/05 UPDATE!! I have completed the stencils and I have a few sets of prototype kit cut for install to evaluate fit and finish. I will be doing this with local FLORIDA CF members so that I can monitor the install close up.

I will be offering several colors for those that have asked for a contrasting colors for the darker color cars. Stay tuned for pics of the finished product within the week and Photoshop pics with the different colors available.

Front is ok, but as someone else says, it should end in more of a point.

Also, I would prefer they come all the way down the front of the hood; my opinion.

Magnetic ones do not fit tightly to the paint as the vinyl graphics do. The vinyls actually bond. Dirt can get under the magnetic ones. Won't work on plastic though.

FWIW..I have abandoned the raised hood stripes for now. I'll be working on another design which will be available for raised hoods AND the stock hood.

Try going with something like "True Shadow" (if you're into vinyl you should know the product)... it'll be more subtle, but capture a version of the original vehicle color.

All the best with them, though.

I like the idea of being able to personalize your car. Vinal looks great and will not damage the paint. If you get tired of the look - you can take it off with a ahir dryer and try something else. Best of luck.
