Thanks again for all the comments. Much appreciated. The hood is at the shop and getting sprayed as we speak. The underside is done and looks great. The top side will get done next week is what they said. No pictures yet so y'all have to wait. I did take a chance on the fitment and did not trial fit it. Hope it works out.
Hood is painted and will be cut and buffed soon. Maybe have it back by Wednesday. Suppose to snow 3-5 inches overnight tonight so probably won't be going anywhere tomorrow. No need to. See how this week goes.
Wow, you're still getting snow. It was 90 here today.
Do you plan on installing your finished hood on Wednesday? Too bad you weren't close by, I would love to lend a hand with the installation.
I will need help, that's for sure. I'm not going to let out the stupid me and try to get it done by myself. That dummy is known to show himself at times when I get to impatient. 😆 Not sure if I'll pick it up Wednesday not, all depends on the weather. Would really like this to be the last snow for the spring too, but it's suppose to melt by Wednesday morning so just have to see what happens. I will report back when that day arrives to pick it up. 😎👍
Good luck with the weather. I think we're done with snow here... maybe. It's been pretty crazy in VA this year though. At one point last month it hit 80° and then snowed several inches the next day! Two weekends ago it was freezing. Last weekend it got close to 90°.
Post up some pics of the painted hood when you get some. I'd love to help you install it, but I'm way too far away. I hope things went well with your wife's surgery.
Not much snow overnight, nothing wrong with that. No word on the hood yet either. What we did get is still around as it's pretty cold out still. And it's not really snow, but frozen ice and hard as a rock. Glad we didn't get much or it might have caused some major power outages again.
Looks like your driveway is clear, so it shouldn't keep you from getting the hood when it's done. Just be super careful. The last thing you want is to hit an ice patch, and wreck grape ape. Especially not with that sweet new hood that you'd never be able to replace.
Home safe and sound. Made the trip and ready for a new home on Grape. My niece's husband said he'd stop by after his work sometime and help me get it installed. Maybe sometime next week. For now it's tucked away safely in the garage.
Got some work done on the Vette today finally. Got the front splitter repaired and painted a couple weeks ago and finally installed it today. Got the wheels on and torqued for the final time so I can drive it. And I also installed a new exhaust plate I purchased a few months ago. It's an RPI painted version and I put my old Jake Skull emblem on it. Still waiting on some help with the hood so that's not on yet.
Wheels and splitter on finally.
Old polished exhaust plate.
New painted RPI exhaust plate. And yes, I did have to drop the mufflers down a smidge to get it in the hole. But it looks great I think.
