For those of you who are looking to upgrade from the factory system here is a set of Kenwood Components that have already been mounted in a set of speaker plates. All you do is remove the Bose speakers and screw these in. The components were only used for around a week, until I got a set of alpines that matched my rear alpine coaxials. So you will be getting a set of speaker plates and practically a new set of components. The components are Kenwood KFC-P605ie. Asking $99.99 + shipping! SOLD !!

Yes, it does include the backing board which are the speaker plates. Shipping would be around $20.

Where did you get the templet to make the backer board? They look great!

Thanks! I pretty much just used a stock Front Bose speaker for the template.

Nice cutting, I don't see any ragged edges and that takes a very steady hand when using 1/4" MDF.

I think you need a special adapter for them to work with your existing headunit but I am not sure. If you do connect them to the factory headunit you still will not push these speakers like they should be as I think the stock headunit will only allow 18-22 watts rms. It's best if these are hooked to an amp to get the full effect from these. I have a aftermarket headunit and amp so I didn't have a problem there.
