FS: 12 Disk CD Changer
I have a 12 disk CD changer that was installed in my 2001 corvette for sale. It connects to the harness in the rear storage unit. If you do not have this harness, you can purchase it as a standard GM part.
I am also including 2 CD cassettes.
$175 shipped to the lower 48.

If your car came with the changer, then you already have the correct connection in the rear storage container.
The complete instructions on how to install can be found here:

What about the mounting brackets for the CD player, you can't buy those without the player, are those included?...didn't see them in the pics...and the harness to plug it all in? Is that included?

I am not selling the mounting brackets or the wiring harness. Both of these items are included in the installation kit, GM Part No. 12496743.

I prefer to sell them all together, but if no one is interested in the changer, I will certainly be open to selling the magazine separately. I will let you know.

I just took my 01, ZO6 on it's first road trip, went to the ZO6 Fest. I didn't think it would be a big deal changing out individual CD's while driving but it was. I asked somebody there what the heck the wiring harness in the trunk was, and he told me it was for a factory CD changer. I'm not sure if the car originally had one or not. Someone else told me that all the ZO6's came factory wired for the CD changer. ????
So if this (your changer) is an original GM that means the factory unit in the dash will make this work?
I don't need the harness, but I'll need to buy it for the mounting brackets?
I'll PM you with my cell number. I think I might take it.
Thanks,
DW

To install the CD Changer, you must first purchase the installation kit (GM Part #12496743). You can purchase this from Gene, your local Dealership, etc. Here is a link to the installation instructions so you can see what is involved.

More Info
I have a 98 C-5 with the original Delco unit (doesn't work) will this be a direct replacement? If the answer is yes and you still have the unit, I DEFINITELY want it. Joe

Maybe the new part number has already changed or been discontinued...neither show as good numbers with GMPARTSDIRECT...not that I'd recommend buying from them.
