Pioneer. That is who made the GM changers.
Merry Christmas!

I'm researching this same issue myself...what is the GM or PIONEER model number of your CD changer?
The C5 Corvette oem CD changer is (frequently) GM #25685332, which also had the PIONEER (which was the oem manufacturer) #CDXM2016.
Be aware however there are different GM/PIONEER CD changer model numbers of virtually the same CD changer in various Corvettes and other GM vehicles from '97 and up model years. One of many possible other model number CD changers is #16220776 or #16199553 or #12495746. The cartridge/magazine may/may not interchange between the different model number of CD changers.
The current GM cartridge/magazine for CD changer #25685332/CDXM2016 is #25678545. It is still available through many GM sources. GMPARTSDIRECT shows it in stock. You might try GMPARTSHOUSE as well. It retails for almost $100, but is usually sold for about $51.50.
M&R ELECTRONICS is a source for the cartridge/magazine as well as the oem CD changer installation kit. They sell the #25667545 cartridge/magazine for $54.95 and it's in stock.
PARTY DOWN AUTO SOUND sells #25678545 for $45.00.
I contacted PIONEER directly and was told that they still sell a cartridge/magazine for #25685332/CDXM2016 under #CXB1288, but it is currently out of stock and would take about one month for delivery from time of order. The price is $51.45. The previous cartridge/magazine was #CXA7122/16185621, but it has been discontinued.
I also contacted CRUTCHFIELD's. They do not show an available cartridge/magazine available for the GM oem PIONEER CD changer #25685332/CDXM2016. There are some cartridge/magazines that they think might interchange, but they can't guarantee that.
Adding to the problem is that many of the cartridge/magazines being sold on EBAY and elsewhere are not identified by a part number on the product. There may be loading/jamming issues.
If you find a replacement cartridge/magazine let me know for future reference. I recently posted an add for a spare cartridge/magazine for my CD changer #25685332/CDXM2016. I was fortunate enough to have a CF member offer to send me one for free as it is missing a tray.

Dude this is a great post, maybe you can add this to the C5 Audio FAQ.

I dd try and get the new magazine from Party Down Auto Sound, and although the add says 45, when you add it to your cart, its 79.00 on sale for 70.00.

M&R does have it, but there prices are a little higher as well. 65 bucks, 79 with shipping.

Shipping and handling really add to the price.
There is one on EBAY now, looks to be new old stock (NOS). Use keywords "C5 Corvette" or "Z06 Corvette" or "CD magazine" for $64, plus shipping.
It's the original 25678545 magazine that GM used in the original box. I think the price is high, but it's been listed at least twice before, so maybe an e-mail to the seller would benefit you.
The other alternative is to place an ad in the CF classifieds and see if anyone has a magazine (or two) that they might want to sell. I found a second magazine from a very generous member who no longer had a need for it. It's missing one tray, so it's an eleven CD magazine, but works fine.

That's the best deal yet, if the price hasn't changed and the shipping/handling are realistic...

Revive an old thread. That appears to be the same Pioneer JD-T1212 changer cartridge that crutchfield has for $34.95 + $6.99 shipping.
Ordering one now, as I can't even find that good of a price on ebay.

Hotwheels57 or anyone who knows;
This post you made seems to be much of what I'm looking for. My changer iskeeping the cds and will try to put several in the play area at one time. It took me about 4 hours to convince it to give them back unharmed. I realize that a ipod would be much better but since the changer is there and its a new toy I want to make it work for awhile. My question is, I have found a used pioneer changer, working and in good condition out of a 2000 Buick Park Avenue. Pictures of it show it is identical to the one I have but it is a CDX-M2116 and mine is a M2016 they both appear to have the same plug. In your research do you know if they would be interchangable?

Default 12 disk cd player

I have a 25685332 Pioneer cd player
I think the OEM number is CDXM2016
I bought it new in 1999 and it fit in my 1998 Catera and my 2001 Eldorado Cadillacs.
I am not sure what other years
Cadillac says it fits in a Corvette also, I am not sure what year.
I do know it will not fit in my 2007 Cadillac DTS
New they sell for $986.00
There is nothing to install, just mount and plug in
I would sell mine for $350.00

Gary, I would love to have it as no one answered my last post and the other disappeared. But I just can't afford that 350.00. I have a motorcycle I am having to buy parts for. If you could come down to 250.00, I could probably scraped that together.

The cartdridge with the 12 trays are all the same some say delco elecronices or later pioneer, the changers the same . Other gm cars have different mounting brackets. A c5 12 disc changer is very easy too install tops less than two hours too install. nice z06 option also although they never came with one. install with the black 3 tub covers off any c5 with velcro. it gives you a nice flat trunk. both c5 mounting brackets are the key. need help contact me and i can walk you throuh it. you can buy lots of cartriges and have alot of cd,s to play. You should make a new thread. Not to many people are going scroll down to the end of an ad that is several years old and that probably should have been in the discussion section anyways because he was wanting part numbers. Good luck
