Default FS: My ultra-rare DRM hood

SOLD

EDIT: No longer interested in a trade... got a stock hood from a buddy locally

Purchase outright for $900 + actual shipping costs

________________________________________ _____________________

I'm putting my DRM hood up for sale. The hood isn't made anymore and hasn't been for 3+ years. It took me over a year of looking for one for sale to get it and I've had it for over 2 years.

It was in semi-rough shape when I got it and I spent a lot of time prepping it for my targa conversion and repaint.

Considering putting the car up for sale and getting a C6 convertible later this year. Selling the high-end bits from the car to recoup as much money as possible. The more stock the car the broader the market it will appeal to.

FYI the hood isn't millenium yellow... it's Ford Screamin' Yellow. Are you saying you'd like to purchase it or you're going to drive up to Va Beach to swap

If I hadn't just bought a trans and rear I'd be all over this. Unfortunately my wife isn't that understanding. Beautiful hood.

Any color... the car is a custom yellow. I allready sold my tigershark nose and put a white bumper back on. Going to have the front end re-painted. My painter has the paint on file so it's no biggie. Hood must be in good shape... no cracks etc.

Ok, I'll bite. Can you ask your painter how much to get it painted back to black?

I don't know... probably $400ish. Just needs a scuff sand then paint.

I understand the move to the C6vert, I'm looking to take the same route, w/ the new car dropping below the 30 mark, and after getting tired of the C5 for the past 5 years

should move soon, spring mod fever starts sooner than later

Yep... I've had my car for six years now and had a blast with it. Time to enjoy a new platform. Plus... w/ the Panoz for a track toy my needs/wants in a Corvette have changed 180 degrees.

How busy are you this weekend? Any chance you'd like to meet up and chat? I'd like to see the hood in person, if it's not too much trouble. I live in Richmond.

Update... realized a buddy had a stock hood left over from a Z06 he totalled a few years back. No longer need to trade. Hood is for sale. $900 + shipping.

PMing you...

EDIT: Clear your PM box

Just wanted to make sure you saw that I'm no longer interested in trading. I realized a buddy had a stock hood off of his Z06 that he totalled a few years back.

I don't have time to meet you 1/2 way... have some chores to get done so I can leave for Baltimore on business on Sunday AM. You're more than welcome to come check it out at my place in VB.
