I am getting the dreaded Service ABS Traction Controls message on my 1999 Corvette. I only have about 36K on it and all this started at about 30K. The error code generated is C1243 BPMV Pump Motor Stalled. I get the error on start up. The warning lights normally do not come on upon restart.

Based on information obtained on the forum I have done the following:

Removed and checked the electrical connection for corrosion.
Removed and took apart the plastic ground wire box where the unit is grounded. The connections were clean but I used a small wire brush on them and reassembled.
I took it to the dealer and had the break fluid changed and had the tech cycle the pump. He said he cycled it about 5 times for 10-15 seconds.

All of this has not resulted in any improvement. The car almost always shows the Service ABS and Traction Control error on start up.

The dealer says the EBCM needs to be replaced because of a failed motor relay control.

I am looking for a new or used EBCM which I can install myself. GM Part Number 9367071.

Please Help if you can!

I have a complete unit off a 99. The car had traction control but not active handling. Model number on the module decal is 09356961 & part number on the pump is 10417324. Compare the other numbers on yours. There was a part number change in these units. $275.00 Shipped to you. Thanks...
