Default WTB - Headlight hinge/pivot bolt

I need a replacement bolt, nut, and plastic spacer that is used at the hinge point of the headlight assembly. Didn't threadlock it, and it fell out.

There are 2 bolts on each headlight assembly with a Torx T20 head, around 1/4" diameter with a collar and 21mm long. The flanged spacer is plastic, 5.85mm ID, 7.05mm OD, 6.5mm tall, and 0.60mm thick. The nut is an 8mm flanged nut. They are seen by removing the headlight bezel and body-colored cover. The two bolts in question are horizontal through the rear hinge-point of the popup assembly.

.

Let me know if you've got one, even off a busted headlight assembly.

Thanks!

Todd

Good luck. GM will not sell these by themselves. They want to sell you the whole headlight assembly! When I lost one, I bought a small bolt with a locking nut. I then cut a straw and used it as the plastic insert.

I gotta check the garage, but I might still have my busted headlight assembly in there. Is this bolt specific to right/left, or is it symmetrical? I'll let you know if I find it

Thanks for checking Antonio. They are all identical, 2 per side. Let me know what you find.

Clif, thanks for the idea. I'm also considering a real bearing. I found one that seems to have nearly the right dimensions. But hopefully that is Plan B.

well Todd, I just checked and unfortunately I don't still have the headlight assembly. Sorry bud. I guess I must've gotten rid of it the last time I cleaned the garage out.

Yes, just one (bolt, spacer, nut). Don't see them in your advanced search of your site. How much shipped to 55038? PM the details please. Thanks.

Thanks Marc. Sounds like you've just made (at least one) guy's day.

Please PM details for payment. Paypal works easiest for me.

Do you have any more of these in stock, or can you get more? I put new headlights in my car this year and the OEM bolts are in pretty rough shape. My car is stored for the Winter, so I'm in no hurry, but I'm not 100% done with the install and expect I may be taking these bolts out again. I'd love to have 4 new ones to work with! Please let me know. Thank you.
