On some cars they don't need them, its a mixed bag. We recommend it just in case your C5 is more picky

I just installed the 55w 6k on mine and I love them. Install couldn't have been easier great plug and play product. Btw I didn't order the resistor and didn't need it they work flawlessly. Also thanks corvette Mods for supporting veterans and shaping the goodies to Hawaii for me

Can you still "flash" your high-beams? With stock high-beams? With your HID high-beams?

yes, but it takes a few seconds as with all HID systems

If they remain warm, they will fire up fast the second time. If they fully cool down then the will take a bit longer. 55w is the way to go if you expect to use that feature. Call us if you have any addl tech questions. thx

sent, resistor is needed if you want the buckets to close without flashing the highs first.
