While I agree to an extent, there are also times when you can't see where the curb is and leaving you butt hanging out can get it removed by traffic...

I have one on my 2000 Corvette and one on my 2016 Mazda 6. Love em. I was pulling up to park at a vette meet and a club member put his hand up for me to stop just as the sensor audibled. Have it calibrated just right.

Will it work with a bra on the car??

That would depend on the position of the sensor. Luckily you have lots of options when it comes to positioning the sensor. It just works on line of sight so if it's under the bumper the bra wouldn't interfere.
