this appears to be a corsa pace/sport replica.. true or false? i have nothing against your catback, just curoius. i love the sound of the corsa pace/sport but it aint so cheap. does your system come with improved clamps? i have read several theads that say the clamps u supply dont do the job.

No...I just received mine and installed it today. I had to go out and get heavy duty clamps (3/8"). Not a big deal but if you're doing the installation yourself, I would get the clamps ahead of time.

That being said, the quality and fit are great and I love the sound. AND absolutely no drone.

Not a Corsa replica, however the tone is similar. Most that have these or have heard them in person say they sound mostly like a Corsa/Borla hybrid in the sound department, with no drone. The tips are also larger and a little more defined.

We have battled with clamps in the past but now systems are being supplied with nice beefier 1" wide band clamps. The issue wasn't necessarily the clamps, but more or less the 321 Stainless Steel that the system is made out of. It is about the best stuff you can make exhaust out of, better than the 304 used by many, only down fall to it is that it is so tough, you really need to have a beefy or direct clamp. I have never had ay issues holding them with the new clamps or even the olds for that matter. The key is to run the car a bit to heat the system up, and while still warm to go back under and tighten them down again. Of course be careful and bring a towel as the pipes will be warm

Let me know if I can do anything else for you, sale ends Saturday, 12-31-11

Thanks for the update Mike! Glad you are loving the system, it is unbeatable for a street system especially for the cost under the sale going on!

Did you re-tighten your system down after a heat cycle? Even with the bigger clamps I would still suggest this as the 321 Stainless is tough stuff

Sure did and everything is good to go. FWIW, my issue was the passenger pipe that goes into the muffler. It was a touch to small creating a bit of a gap. I couldn't get it to clamp with the supplied units.

The driver side was tight into the muffler and would have probably been fine with your clamp(s). No biggie...

MX621: It's pretty quiet at part throttle and barks at WOT. As I previously mentioned, there's no drone. I installed it on a Vert so it's probably louder inside the car compared to a coupe. Still not a problem for me...and I don't like loud exhaust.

Honestly without being biased, the best way to put it is that it is the ultimate catback for a street car! It has a nice idle, great aggressive tone when giving it some throttle, a jaw-dropping WOT, and zero drone, virtually silent when cruising in high gear on the expressway. Partial throttle it is aggressive enough to turn heads, but not enough to draw any unwanted attention or more than in my opinion any Corvette enthusiast would want. Any other questions feel free to ask!
