Those are the sport seats. In one pic you can see the design pattern of the seat bottom.
It is very different from the standard seats, and besides, I think all AE coupes came with Sport Seats, especially those with Shale interiors. (option package 1SB or 1SC?)

I thought the AE's came with the sport seats across the board, I was looking at the headrest area thru the window and could not see the gap (like where race harnesses would go). Thanks for the note.
