Rim width
Hankook recommends a 10.5-11.5" rim width for these tires.
Good question, thank you.
A quick search on the forum shows plenty of guys are using the 305's on the 10" rims. I haven't done it so I
can't comment either way. My wheels were 10.5" wide and did work fine with 305's.

Will fit
I have 305s on stock chrome C6 rims on my 02. Had to use a 8mm spacer to make it work and they are the max that could be squeezed in. Hope this helps.

On your C5, the stock rim offsets were 65mm (base) and 58mm (Z06). The C6 rims are listed as 79mm offset which could/would account for your needing to use a spacer. I don't know if the C5/C6 wheel wells are different inside though (ie, would a C6 user need a spacer too?). Thanks.

Hope that all made sense...
