Default CCW 505a's for sale in San Diego (never curbed)- $2200

CCW 505a for sale (C5 Z06, C6, C6Z fitment):

Rear 19 x 11 -- 8 3/16" backspacing
Front 18 x 10 -- 7 3/4" backspacing
5 x 4.75" bolt pattern

Painted black (not the best paint job, but looks fine) with polished aluminium underneath. These are high quality forged aluminium wheels that cost $3000+ shipped new. I took some close up pics of a couple blemishes from when the tires were mounted (just one rear wheel is affected). They will easily wet sand out.

I am looking to sell the fronts with the tires, they are nearly new (<1000 miles) 265/40/18 Bridgestone Potenzas. The rear tires are now done for since I first posted this ad, and I cannot sell them in good faith.

Complete set w/ front tires (no rear tires) - SOLD

Complete set w/o tires - SOLD

Wheels are located in San Diego and would prefer a local sale, I do not want to ship them.

Before paint

Front tread

Rear tread

Gradient, great wheels.

Are the wheels originally cut for a C5Z06, re backspace and offsets?

What condition were the wheels in before being painted?

What prep work was done on the wheels before being painted?

Thanks for any additional information you can give.

Thanks Rickster,

The condition of the wheels before paint was perfect. I am not sure what prep work the paint shop did before painting, but I highly doubt it was anything more than wiping the surface clean.

I just went out and shot pictures of the back spacing measurements. They were cut for a Z06.

Front backspacing: 7 3/4"

Rear backspacing: 8 3/16"

I added some pics in the OP of the wheels before they were painted. That's all I have. The pics of them on the car are from the person I bought them from (his car).

If you want them, I can strip the paint off pretty easily and I planned on doing it anyway. Everyone seems to be saying the same thing you are.

They would have been gone a few days after posting if they weren't black. They look amazing how they come normally.

I've tried removing paint from polished aluminum wheels with paint stripper & even air craft stripper before and it didn't work out so well (hardly worked at all actually). It looks like the standard method for doing this is soda blasting, which is usually around $75 per wheel.

If you haven't sold them within a couple months I may get in touch with you about them, but I'm sure there's someone else out there who wants some black CCW's, it's certainly not the first pair I've seen.

FWIW, it's pretty standard practice to scuff smooth services before painting. If your painter didn't do that, then the paint will come off pretty easily. If he did, removing the paint will leave you with hours of polishing ahead of you.
