At first glance, all aftermarket fiberglass hoods may look the same. During the 1980's and 1990's, several aftermarket companies tried reproducing fiberglass hoods. However, many short cuts were taken to save costs. The end result were hoods full of air bubbles and waves. The amount of prep work required was time consuming and frustrating for body shops and expensive for consumers. Even worse, these cheap hoods didn't have reinforcements in them so they had to be pinned on. That may be fine for a race car but definitely not OK for a driver, show car, or investment. Those were the 1980's and 1990's and definitely NEVER the case at Eckler's Corvette.
Body shops and do-it-yourself enthusiasts have trusted Eckler's Corvette as their #1 fiberglass source since 1965. They've tried other brands that just don't measure up in quality, durability, fit, and finish. Eckler's has invested heavily in research and development, manufacturing processes, and quality control techniques. The result is the finest quality fiberglass body panel that fit right the first time and with minimal prep work required. Eckler's Corvette fiberglass body panels are painstakingly reproduced from the original GM body panels. Eckler's overbuilds every mold with heavy reinforcements to ensure consistent quality and a superior fit. They are NOT built using a chopper gun as with cheaper imitations. Eckler's utilizes only the best automotive grade resins with 3 layers of 3.5 ounces of mat and 21 mils of soft sanding gel coat. Eckler's superior hand-rolled fiberglass process eliminates troublesome bubbles and frustrating waves. Eckler's body panels are precision trimmed and drilled to eliminate fitment issues. All of this eliminates hassles, frustrations, and disappointments while saving you valuable time and money. Do it right the first time and insist on only the best fiberglass for your Corvette by demanding Eckler's Corvette fiberglass

Shady
I HOPE ALL PEOPLE INTERESTED SEE THIS.
So how come you sold this to us on ebay, then when the wife tried to pay your offered price, you claimed you you had a better offer BUT the buyer was gone and wanted THAT price now. So after much hesitation we agree on that new HIGHER price you wanted of $475 + $120 shipping and then you cancel the deal?????
Funny thing is he had listed on here all that time it was sold to us... This guy is a shady shyster... acts like he has a bar of gold and we are giving him stones!!!
Looking for the highest buck you can get on a shady level is not good. I would hate to see what happened if we had issues after buying from you!
UPDATE : Oh he relisted it now on ebay ....
Here is the original listing

sour grapes
I dont think this forum is intended to be used in this way but the truth should prevail. vettefx76 got caught out with his games.
The truth is you used up your offers and declined my counteroffers then clicked on the buy it now option of 498.00 then messaged me on ebay to negotiate a lower price or you would cancel the transaction.
Here is the cut and paste from your ebay message. WHO IS SHADY!
Dear trojjan,
Well if you cant accept your original offer of 425 then i would like to cancel the transaction thru ebay. Let me know what you would like to do. I understand if you have someone who is paying more. If you agree, send me an updated invoice and ill get it out to you by tonight.

Of course I cancelled the transaction

Lol
Truth? What about the message you sent us where you say you are not sure what to do now (after I agreed to pay you the $475, which YOU agreed upon and said you would accept)??? Oh and that you decided all your offers are now null and void because you decided you want the full price now since it makes you feel "comfortable" LOL ....
This is the crap that pissed me off. You kept baiting us to see how much we would pay then tried to catch us with that full price bullsh!t, to see if we would go that far.
Honestly, I would copy and paste all your messages but you know what, I don't have time for your worthless arguement. You can keep posting about how right you are and I could care less from now.
I just thought I would let fellow members know of how your pathetic dealing went down...
I'm done here. Keep rambling on, boss.

Just looking for quick info. On your Ecklers high rise is the back of the hood open like a true cowl induction or do the seal it off? If closed off can it be opened up? Just looking at ways to vent off Texas heat. Thanks for the info.
