I want to drop one into my c3 and if it doesn't sell in Carlisle that looks like what will happen to it

very strong short block, wiseco forged pistons, gen4 rods with good bolts, stock std crank
lil thumper will make some steam if you want this engine, move on it, as once my house sells, I'm going to use it.

I just started thread asking for opinions about truck motor applications for vettes.
I didn't include it in that thread, but my thought was to use the truck motor as temp while rebuilding vette engine, then have the truck motor on the stand and make a beast out of it, very similar to this.
I like it, I'm curious why you went with a 4.8 though?

keep in mind on blown applications the turbos or blower make more of a difference on power and with the turbos, it's important to let the motor breath throughout the intended rev range and stay in the sweet spot of the turbo map to be efficient.
bigger displacement will spool quicker, make more low end torq, but also choke above 6k rpms
to go faster, you ramp the torq up *(900 ft lbs it enough, try to hook it!!) more gradually like you would with a blower car to keep the car hooked and then spike the power up top to get the big MPH
spinning ain't winning and all that torq goes up in smoke with the big displacement only to sacrifice the big top end because the turbos become an exhaust restriction
the other important thing, the small stroke crank is really strong, as is the iron block with the small bore size
all of this is "counter intuitive" and was for me too until I did the homework and starting running the ttix car
I also have an ls6 with forged internals in the car if you are interested
it's a 347 engine that I will be freshening up coming out of the ttix car
the limitation on the alum block is pretty high if tuned right, but I'm thinking of going iron block to go over 1k hp and reach the limit of the ttix 58 mm turbos with the bigger .82 exh housing and 3" down pipes
the little thumper 4.8 is one strong piece for almost no coin at all
if you need more than 1k hp, go ls next and power glide tranny and build a race car
otherwise, 1k is about the limit you can reasonably put down.
keep in mind a stick means, dual disk clutch, stronger tranny, ect...
big bucks.

ls1 intake with 80 lb injectors, braided lines, fuel pressure regulator, 799 heads with fresh blue springs
4.8 iron block with .020 overbore stock crank, gen 4 rods with upgraded bolts, forged wiseco pistons 9.5 to 1 compression
turbo manifolds and intercooler are designed to fit a c2 or c3 drag vette
LPE tuned ECM for this combination. installation support available at competative rates to put this in your car and go fast!!
let me know if you want it, I need the $$ for a 6 bolt build.

perfect time for a winter project. lil thumper will belt out the power and last and provide a very wide power band with an entertaining 8xx ft lbs of oof dah torq to move things along
I also have a 480LE trans than I will kick in for another 800 bucks.
this setup has an LPE tuned ECM and wiring, with 80 lb injectors, all the lines from the turbos to the drain pan, custom inlet tubes, ect...

I didn't see this asked earlier...will this set up assembled drop in to a C5 engine bay and mount up to the C5 drive line? This sounds like an AWESOME SETUP for a reasonable price.

sorry, but you don't get a complete turbo engine and kit for a c5 for this price tag.
I DO have a ttix setup designed installed on a c5 that I can sell you.
as for the engine, it's a standard LS and several have done this swap already and the little iron block engines are super durable and provide a nice broad shouldered torq and power band.
see notes about the c5 5.3 swap (exact same block)
drops right in.

This is a complete engine with a fresh short block with gen 4 rods and forged wiseco .040 over pistons
folks that know the short stroke LS iron block know even stock they hold quite a bit, they one pulled 9.20s at 146 in a c3 vette and has the home made turbo manfolds LPE tuned ecm wiring, and everything needed to bolt it together and fly.
let me know if interested, might consider parting out, prefer to sell all together to someone with a c2 or c3 vette

lil thumper is back up for sale. bolt it together and make 900 hp turbos will go higher (900 is about the limit for gen4 rods for any duration)
PM me if interested, will part out. New project and this stuff needs to go.
