Default Used - COMP Cams Valve Springs 26918-16

Hey guys, I've got a set of beehive springs with about 5000 miles (maybe less) on them for sale.

$85 FREE SHIPPING

Specs
OD: Top 1.075" Bottom 1.310"
ID: Top .650" Bottom .885"
Seat Pressure: 125 lbs @ 1.800''
Open Pressure: 367 lbs @ 1.150''
Coil Bind: 1.100"
Spring Rate: 372 lbs/in
.625'' maximum lift (@1.800)

I've got the springs, retainers, seats and .050 shims I believe. I'll have to measure to be sure. The springs were shimmed to 1.750 installed height when I sent the kit with my heads to TEA a while back, for increased seat pressure I assume. Just replaced them over the weekend with one of TSP's dual spring kits. This is off the head work sheet from back in April, "seat pressure _150-installed height *1.750; coil bind_1.08".

Thanks for looking!

Ben Marino

Default Pics

Here are some pics. Shims seem like .050..I doubt my $10 Caliper is spot on.

Yeah, as long as it doesn't have crazy ramp rates or duration. Technically they are .625 lift springs without the shims, but with the shims they are .600 lift and can probably handle a somewhat more aggressive camshaft with the increased seat pressure. Maybe someone else can chime in with more info.

Something like the TSP 233/239 .600"/.600" would probably be the most aggressive you'd want to run. But I'm not an expert by any means. Just says its a beehive friendly camshaft on their website.

The cam I got is 231/242 .620-.600 lift. I’m gonna probably get btr dual valve spring kit. Your set was good deal if it will work for my cam.

Yeah that cam is a bit much for these springs unless you had some titanium valves or something. You'd have to run these without the shims and that'd be risky when you get on up in the rpm. I would say since the exhaust is the one with the high duration that it'd be okay but you'd be better off just going with the BTR spring kit. Again I'm not an expert at this stuff, just kind of the conclusion I came to. Best of luck!

Well now that I look at it. The spring height with shims is .575" lift. Based off of what comps 1.800" installed height is and the .050" shims. There is technically .670" lift at coil bind, so at .600" lift, its a decent .070" of clearance. These springs would only work on a mild street camshaft. If I did that right.
