c5 Gauge cluster or motherboard for it
Looking for a couple of items for my C5, I need a working motherboard from a gauge cluster if you have a car that you are parting out and the gauge cluster was damaged in an accident or a reasonably priced cluster, my car has HUD and am not sure if this requires a different board. Unfortunately I ruined one I had already purchased when soldering the chip that holds the mileage from my original board.I also need a cover for the 4 way flashing light switch.The center rocker switch front HVAC digital controller, it’s the switch that directs which side you are adjusting for temperature.Some jerk vandalized the interior of the car with an axe and keyed the exterior. I have accumulated most of the parts. Can’t figure out why this happened other than envy. Didn’t happen where I live but on a trip.
Thanks for listening to my sob story.

That sounds great.
Hi Capthuff,
I am definitely interested, do you know if all the boards are the same for the C5 my car has a HUD. Let me know if it work and how much you want for it. I haven't figured out how to PM yet, or I would have replied to you that way. I did it once but can't remember how I did.
Thanks Randy

There are three configurations for the clusters;
1. 1997 and 1998 - Non HUD enabled
2. 1999 Non-HUD enabled
3. 1999+ HUD
All clusters will work in any C5 with one caveat. For the 1997 and 1998 (possibly early 1999 also) the position of the air bag light on the cluster needs to be switched between sockets.
All late 1999 to 2004 clusters are HUD enabled. The item to visually look for is a multi-pin connector on the top of the cluster near the silver box on the back. You can see the opening in the 2nd photo posted by mcshocks. From this photo the connector is not visible in the opening meaning that this probably is a non-HUD cluster.
