I have to admit, if I had a CNC and the ability to program it I would probably have a plethora of insanely un-marketable do-dads. Back in the day, I used a Clausing Colchester lathe and Bridgeport mill to make an air-cleaner wing nut for my Nova. Probably took 10 hours and $10 of material to make a wing nut. But it was a really cool wing nut...
Oh yeah, I have a ton of stuff like that. I'm restoring my dad's old fishing boat, I've made tons of parts on that boat that could have been purchased, but they are all at least a little better than the parts I could have bought for the job. The gas cap is like that, a friend of mine was chasing a check engine light and needed a new one. I was playing around in CAD and whipped one up. I made one for him and one for me and if people want one I'll make them.

Thanks for getting your box back quickly!

These things are beautiful! Just got mine installed tonight. Love it! Great guy to deal with as well... I took my box out and sent in as was in a time crunch. Install took no time at all, and the car shifts like butter with a positive engagement. The spinning **** will time time to get used to, but I actually like how it feels when you are holding it firmly and it self adjusts as you shift (if that makes any sense at all!).

Anyway, bravo to a kickass product and hell of a nice guy!

I opted for the 20% version, here are some pictures:

I put the lower box in my car a couple weeks back. The original box had actually broken where the upper shifter bolts in- I assume the previous owner had overtorqued it. With the existing Hurst shifter I can say this mod is incredibly better than anything I've driven with a stock box. I would put it on the same level as the MGW shifter (with lower box) I had in my old car. I believe my Hurst shifter has a slightly longer throw than the MGW, which is also nice just for the added leverage.

All in all- a very worthwhile mod.

I just wanted to take a second to thank everyone who has taken the time to leave feedback. I can't tell you how good it feels to hear that everyone is enjoying my parts so much. Thank you, very much, it means a lot.

Here's some of the Send-In's and Cores from this week, coming in they can be in any shape as long as they are not cracked they are usually fine. They get degreased, scrubbed and media blasted before being machined, reblasted, cleaned for the final time and assembled.

I get new boxes, old nasty boxes and everything in between. They are all refinished and better than new when I get do e with them.

After degreasing media blasting

Box and shifter in and a good few miles on now, and I've got a question. I made certain the lower snubber was on the bottom, and I've got the Delrin bushings -- the shifter chirps a lot, particularly at higher RPM. I don't see a single reference to anyone else having this issue, so what have I got wrong?

That little foot will go in crooked or fall out of position sometimes if you not paying attention to it but if you did and it's chirping like that you may have a less than great tranny mount. Shoot me an email when you get a sec and we'll figure it out.
Thanks
