Because the only thing that makes it an ls6 are the cam and heads......
Blocks are different also. The metallurgy of the block is of different properties than a ls1 (if you look at a bare ls1 next to a bare ls6 you can see the color difference between the metals on the machined sections). Also the ls6 has stronger webbing, cast different to prevent oil scavenging, and has better “windows” to allow air to pump more freely in the crankcase.
