Default I need a part Chevrolet doesn't make anymore

Help

Looking for a fuel pressure sensor for my 99 Corvette. The dealer told me it's no longer available. Same with parts stores around here. Somebody at the Corvette Club said they had a source but haven't gotten back to me. It's a one year only part and needed to remedy a CEL. Doesn't affect performance but I'm selling (trying) the car and want it perfect. Been sitting too much I guess.

TIA

Fuel tank pressure sensor? I think I know the part you're talking about--it's mounted near the filler neck inside the driver's rear wheel well, looks like a MAP sensor.

Besides getting a code, what does it do negatively to the car?

Perchance would it be part 82 in the attached? If so, the part number was Sensor, Fuel Pressure 16244511. Maybe someone can cross reference?

Part 82 is: Sensor, Fuel Pressure GM Part number 16244511

I am thanking everybody for their help! None of your suggested sources have yielded a proper part yet. The performance is not effected, only a CEL which is enough to not pass emissions. Again it is a 1999 year only part, number unknown.

John, you may already be aware of this, so I'll apologize in advance.

A lot of times when a part becomes unavailable, it is replaced or advanced by another part number. Sometimes this new part/number can be found if you have the correct original number. Do you know if the number that DaveC-98-C5 posted above (16244511) is the correct part number you are looking for? If it is, that may make finding a suitable replacement, if there is one, possible.

Good luck... GUSTO

That is the proper part number but it is discontinued and no longer available. Thanks!

That would be great, although mine went bad from sitting stored for 6 months. I suppose used is my only hope now. Thanks for checking!
