well it seems to me the only thing you are missing to have a totally upgraded suspension is the heavier spring rate springs. and yes there is a huge difference between the base springs and the 04 z06 springs. the parts you have assembled is a well designed suspension with these Z06 springs you will have in essence the factory designed high performance suspension. let me know if you want these they are in really nice shape
little off topic but did your Z suffer the “wheel hop”?

I see that.. but will it eliminate the wheel hop? What could I expect from adding them ? I also have the Eibach lowering bolts on it. Wasnt impressed with the Z shocks. Though an improvement the more acute response came from the sways. Should have waited and bought the B8’s

it should eliminate some of the wheel hop by exerting more down ward force on each wheel, it will also stop the nose diving and rising on hard acceleration/deceleration. I guess I would say with this you would have the suspension designed by the GM engineers and they do a pretty good job in sizing things up. are your z shocks the 04 zo6 ones? or a different year? apparently there were differences in the C5 z06 shocks with the 04 Z06 ones and the C6 Z06 ones being the best. I don't drive hard enough to notice any wheel hop.

"Base suspension cars have the lightest spring rates, and the 2004 Commemorative Edition Z06 has the stiffest spring rates. All Z06 models were equipped with a 10-percent stiffer spring than the Z51 handling package. This added roll stiffness and reduced rear squat under hard acceleration. The stiffer the spring, the more firm the ride. Again, you need to decide what kind of driving you want to do with your C5 to make the best spring-rate decision. Shock absorbers control the amount of up and down movement the suspension makes over bumps and dips in the road. Shock absorbers also help the tires maintain contact with road during hard cornering. "

sounds like your springs are the next logical upgrade to the higher level suspension. good tires are certainly important too. this is from a magazine article. I sent you a PM let me know if you are interested. bob

I live in NJ so with most municipality, infrastructure funds squandered on bullshit, there’s some towns I avoid. But this would complete my suspension advancement to the next level. I got your PM. Give me the day. Let me mull it over. Just got done 12hrs so I need to land. Thanks bud!
