WTB:'04 Machine Silver Removable Roof Panel or trade for my glass top
I only have 500 miles on my 3 week old Coupe, and the glass top is too warm in the sun for me! I ordered the solid silver top, but the car arrived with a glass top, at no extra charge. I tried a Solar Visor Roof Panel Sun Shade, part #43866 @ Eckler's, but it was too big, and did not fit. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

OK, anybody have a Solid Roof Panel, in excellent condition, any color, that they would like to sell, or trade for a new '04 glass top? Thanks, Jeff

I tinted the T-Tops on my 1990 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo with 5 % tint and it helped out alot. You can possibly try that on your roof..............Just an idea, and cheap fix.

Melting Slicks
Used top available...needs repair and re-paint
I have a painted top that came damaged (lousy packaging) and needs edge repair and re-paint to match your car. The weatherstrip is perfect. I took a similar top down to my Chevy dealer and had them repair the top and color match it to my 2003 Coupe (Medium Spiral Gray metallic). I paid $650.00 total for repair and paint. I will sell this one cheap - $100.00 + shipping and I will ship it properly so it doesn't come in worse shape then when it was shipped to me. I don't own a coupe anymore so I have no need for this extra top.
WARNING: It took me winning 3 auctions on eBay to receive a top that wasn't severely damaged from shipping. I warned every seller to use something other than bubble wrap and to use a really tight box but none of them listened and it came damaged anyway. GM charges $1100.00 for just the top and then you have to get it painted.

I tried to get the transparent roof panel tinted darker, when I had the back window tinted 15%. The window tinting shop would not touch the roof panel, they said it might crack if it was darker, and they did not want to replace it under their lifetime warranty. It's always something!
