What should i expect?
I have a 04, auto,315 gears I am thinking about a Predator tune and a Vararam what kind of REAL hp and mpg increase should i expect?
Both of the manufacturers state that i should increase my hp/ mpg with there products, I am getting 27 mpg on the road now.
What 1/4 times should it run?
Do they make a good exhaust that is not real loud or raspy?

Most all cold air intakes are good for around 8-10 RWHP--The varraram claims more do to the ram air effect but it is a contraversial topic-
Corvettes are pretty finely tuned already in stock form- A Predator handheld tune might get you 12-15 RWHP----So my guess would be about 25 RWHP total----Should put you in the 290 RWHP range--with a catback exhaust close to 300-----Mileage should be about the same--maybe 1 MPG more-- 1/4 mile times 13.20 ish---
If you believe varram, they claim 25-30 RWHP alone-i know they are sweet but I personally don't buy their claims---

Burning Brakes
Mas Air flow sensor. It is located right after your air filter. It reads how much air you are taking into the engine. If you take it out you will see a screen in it. No huge gains or anything. Easy to get out.

I wouldn't; you'll gain next to nothing and some have reported problems after doing this.
As for the intakes, if you're gonna spend the $$ get something that actually is a "Cold Air Intake", i.e. Vararam, Callaway Honker or Hurricane. Something that draws in air from outside the engine compartment. That's where you'll see a gain. Not just more air, but better air.

NO WAY-leave the screen in !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! period !!!
A stock screeened MAF is good for 500 HP anyway--why mess with it !! especially with an A4--- your trans uses TPS and engine load via the MAF to set line pressures--Eventually it will ruin your trans--trust me--causes surging--bad shifts--on & on...etc. Being a tuner I've logged many hours on cars W/O MAF's to show owners how far off their LTFT's are--how it affects WOT fuel ratios--timing curves, line pressures, idle quality--
PS you can callibrate a non screened MAF to work correctly with a data logger and a tuner-but it takes hours and hours of driving time and callibration--for what ? maybe if your lucky 2-3 RWHP---NOT worth the time or the effort--better time & $$ spent elsewhere--

Dont touch that MAF, taking the screen out makes NO gains, and its in there for a reason.
