Engine Codes - Advice on Data Parameters
Need some advice. I was at the Brake Shop in San Antonio getting an alignment and the technician hooked up a "Delphi" analyzer to my car while it was running to see if there were any codes (I had an intermittant check engine light). It pulled a P0172 (rich) and a P0175 (rich)and a P1637 (Alternator warning lamp control signal "L" terminal problem.
Data parameters:
773 RPM, 97 degrees C coolant temp
"Closed loop" fuel system status
intake air temp - 45 degrees C
MAP - 55 kPaA
MAF - 10.17 gm/s
throttle angle 5.9%
Spark advance 23.5 deg
Long term fuel trim - Bank 1 - -8.59%
Short term Fuel Trim - bank 1 - +1.56%
O2 sensor voltage (B1S1) - 390 mV
O2 sensor (post catalyst) (B1S2) - 240 mV
Long Term Fuel trim - Bank 2 - -10.94 %
Short Term fuel trim - Bank 2 - +4.69 %
O2 Sensor voltage (B2S1) - 480 mV
O2 Sensor voltage (post-catalyst) - 365 mV
The overall result was "Fail".....so Im wondering:
1. Does this accurately depict the need for a new "tune"??
2. What does the alternator warning lamp signal mean??
The techs were great, loved the car, and I got the red carpet treatment. Any advice is appreciated!!!
