how about better mileage? I have been told that they will be leaned out...obviously not too much to be dangerous.

Thanks in advance

We generally see 1-2 mpg gains, if you look at the thread regarding "dyno results of a mail order tune", it is confirmed there as well along with dyno results of our tune.

I was looking at that dyno and he said he got 8hp and 12tq but it seems more like 20 or so. Can you explain or break it down in "dyno sheet's for dummies" term?

All part of the $149 tune! We can send the thermostat at the same time if you like.

Yup, no problems at all running a 160 stat no matter how cold outside.
Doug, can you give me some guidance in pulling the PCM? How much is the thermostat, and what will be the turn around time?

^^^^This

Also sorry for the novice question, but what exactly is the advantage of a tune? I have a 01 auto with a Z06 exhaust and a VR intake. More power?

We will post up a tutorial shortly on pulling the PCM, it's pretty easy.

Mine was pretty stuck. It took me a few days to figure that out though.

My PCM should arrive today.

I certainly can, just leave any special requests taped to the PCM with a mod list and contact info just in case.

I can shut off the fuel cut off that occurs at 3 mph when the column lock is stuck on, but if there is a mechanical failure in the column then the tuning will not obviously fix that.

btw, I do that automatically with all the tunes.

I finally got my PCM back in and tested everything out with the new headers. The car is a beast now! I was amazed at the difference (a buddy of mine was also).

Anyone on the fence I would strongly suggest getting off and sending your PCM to ECS. They do great work.

Thanks guys!!
