How long does it take on a 2004 for the drive cycle to complete such that the computer will show ready for an OBD test at Emissions after a reset on the check engine light?

Depends on how you drive it. There are write-ups that have you go through a series of driving gyrations that will speed up the process. If you have HPT, you can watch it until you get "complete" statuses.

To go even further on this, if you have HPT, what monitors aren't passing? And what are the mods?

I do not have to HPT to watch it. The catalyst and evap are not ready. I was really wondering how long under normal driving conditions that it might take.

I will also add- that what tripped the check engine light in the first place was a small evap leak. I replaced my gas cap which honestly appreared to be bad. If thats not it, what are other most common things to look at.

EVAP generally takes the longest to set. I've seen them with 1000 miles and still havent set that somehow..... but then agian it has to do with the driving cycles, if they arent hitting what its looking for it will never complete its test.

The evap readiness test is a pesky devil---If you continue to have readiness test issues---Take it to a tuner with EFILIVE or HP---and he can "disable" all the reporting for ALL the tests ----the tests will all be instantly set to "ready" --- The you can either leave it that way and never worry about them again OR hace him turn them back on----
