Had my 02 dynoed and tuned today, was somewhat happy,I thought I would have made more rwhp,but thats the way it is,he also tried to tune the nasty firecracking poping that happens when I back off suddenly on the fuel,got some of it out.He told me could be the location of the O2 sensors,reading it lean,then dumping fuel in.If I hold the pedal steady for a split second then back out of it,it is not near as bad. Oh well, I have 338 to the wheels,after the tune, and 326 before.
Its all good,better throttle reponse and winds a lot quicker,and turned the fans on sooner. Nothing special to report, thanks for reading tho.
Yes--the factory H pipe is notorious for the popping or gurrgling sound--Also check for exhaust leaks which can make it pop--
These cars are pretty well tuned bone stock---10-17 RWHP is about the norm without bolt-ons like a CAI or cat-back--338 sounds great---
thank you.. I am pleased with the way it runs for sure. I should have been more specific with the exhaust,XSpower headers into 3"cats,into 3"xpipe,into 3"midpipes into 2.5" Corsa system. I do have a small leak on the right side header we discovered,may cause some popping,will retorque,but might be too late,gasket is probably toast,just don t like the thoughts of pulling it apart and trying a new gasket,if i do,will definaltely go with the factory tin gasket,tuner said i could use the ones I took off,but I don t want to do it twice,even tho they look in good condition.
