I have a 2002 LS1 in my 73 Corvette. I changed from a 3 wire maf sensor to a 5 wire maf sensor. My question is do I need to have it retuned ? Thanks for your info, Thanks Charlie.

On older C5's the MAF and IAT sensor are on 2 separate pigtails --
When you go to a later year MAF the MAF wires and the IAT wires are all combined into one 5 wire pigtail----As long as you pin the ECM correctly and do the wiring right all should still work properly---The only way to know for sure is to do some data logging of your IAT temps and MAF readings
PS I have tried this mod in the past---and found there was NO HP advantage and many driveabilty issues popped up--The stock early MAF's were plenty capable to work with approx 500 Crank HP Unless you are over this level --all you are going to do is create tuning nightmares and no extra HP----Typically you need boost in order to outgrow the early C5's MAF tables
