2004 zo6 check engine light again
A little pissed right now, few weeks ago got code PO803 1-4 upshift control modular circuit, ok i cleared it and it was gone, Well I needed a new inspection sticker and tech says he saw the code history and says it failed because i needed to drive 100 miles for a complete reset. Well that sucked but whatever ok they put a 60 day sticker on and says come back after 100 miles fine.
OK so took a good ride today set trip meter and everything was great and at 99.3 miles the *&*&^*&^&%^&**%$# check engine light comes back WTF. I pulled in the garage and went in the house, didn't even try and pull up code yet. pretty sure it will be the same BRB
Yep 10-PCM PO803H well i am not sure if it has a bypass but if it did? and if it does not? Going to bring it in and see what my tech has to says.
I might try another hundred miles will see, any input would be much appreciated thanks

You have to realize that your car is 14 years old--No matter what the mileage is sometimes as a car ages you will get "false codes' and the Readiness monitors will never set--even if you drive your car 1000 miles--- reason being is that the smog police laws used to allow 1 or 2 of your monitors to read not ready and they would still pass you-- then 2 years ago it went to only one and as of 2017 it is now "0" meaning you can have no wiggle room and the monitors ALL must be perfect with No codes
Even if you car is running perfectly just the age of the electronics will make you get false codes or monitors that won't set
Good news is that any tuner even a mail order tuner with HP or EFILIVE can PERMANENTLY set all your monitors to ready "READY" and delete all your false codes forever This is most often your cheapest and best remedy--

Probably the solenoid in the trans that controls the skip shift. I would bet if you installed a skip shift eliminator, you would not get this code again. And you would then be able to shift to any gear you want to.
Assuming you don't already have the skip shift eliminator.
