Default 2001 C5 computer unable to be tuned

AMCO technicians told me my computer did not give them access to tune it. I have installed a new 92 mm Fast intake and throttle body and the car gives up after trying to accelerate and goes into 'Reduced Power Mode" If the sensors are ok maybe I need a new computer???

More than likely some one but in a tune and locked the computer, you need to have someone put back in the stock tune (usually the dealer). I have heard those with a tech2 and GM license can also do it--but not positive. Once an unlocked stock tune is loaded then you can tune the engine.

I am looking to buy 1998 C5 BASE I understand that the computer in the early C5s were a problem area. How can I check it out?
