Everyone, please tell me.
I ride Corvette C5Z51 in Japan.
Recently, I've been worried about water temperature problems.
The temperature rises to 244°F (118°C) while driving at 40 MPH (80 km/h) 2500 rpm to 3000 rpm at 77°F (25℃)
I replaced the radiator and the water pump a 1year ago.
Please advise me why the water temperature rises.
Thank You!
Are you sure you got all the air out of the system when you replaced the radiator? That could cause high temperature. You should contact a moderator to get the thread moved to the tech section.
1st make sure the top water hose is warm/hot after the coolant temp rises-Could be a sign of an air bubble in the system or clogged thermostat
2. LOWER the thermostat to a 160* It will not run that cool but will average around 190-195*
3. MUST do Have a tuner alter the fan settings like such only if you change the thermostat
#1 ON at 204 OFF at 196
#2 ON at 210 OFF at 205
4. If you have an auto trans check your trans fluid temperature --as these cars have a fluid cooler built into the radiator If your trans fluid is like 230-240* it will actually heat up the radiator temps
