Ya know, had a feeling this would happen. I have an 04 Comm Coupe MN6. Just went into the garage, heated , to start it up and let it run a few minutes and it would not start. When I turn the key over all the car does is make a clicking sound, what do ya think battery need charged, jump it or starter? The battery gauge is not dropping into the red but it is deffinetly low around 11 volts and droping.
Next Year......Battery Tender. Did what your going through the last two years. Battery Tender this year, no problem. My .02, buy a walmart battery, cheap, walmarts are everywhere, and return policy is so lax. No problems with my walmart battery.

You should get a tender. You can attempt to recharge your battery, but this might be a good time to upgrade to an optima red top for $100 at Costco.
Thanks for the input. I will get a battery tender and I will charge the existing battery. I'm not going to replace the battery considering the car has 370 miles on it. If the battery is bad Mr. goodwrench will be replacing it.
Thanks VETTENUTS, I didn't know that. I live in NE ohio and winter has been long and cold. What are the reasons that starting every now and a again is bad, I have never heard that.
I bought a battery tender from a motorcyle shop and it lasted one season. That was the brand name unit. This time a bought one from Wal Mart called the Schumacher Battery Companion and it seems to work great and was less than half the price of a Battery Tender. This unit has a green light when it is standing watch, a yellow light for when it is charging, and a red light that will tell you if you have a problem with the battery or a short. I haven't had a problem so far so I am going to buy a second one for my motorcyle.

Just picked one of these up yesterday at Wally World, with the 15% tax, $43.66 CDN. Two year warranty, does the charge and then goes into float. Gotta be as good as a Battery Tender!!
It takes about 2-3 hours to charge a battery on high rate to a full charge. Then you slow charge it for a few hours. Your alternator is designed to maintain the charge on the battery, not recharge if from a dead or very low state. If you idle your car for 30 min to "RECHARGE" the already low battery, your putting wear and tear on your charging system and not doing very much for the battery.
It is recommend that you charge a low or dead battery.
