AC Delco Oil Filter - PF44 or 46?
The manual calls for an AC Delco PF44 filter, but I can't find that one anywhere (checked 6 stores). Has the PF46 replaced the PF44 in the 2000?

You can draw your own conclusion. Three of the top filters, the K&N, Mobil 1 and AMSOIL SDF filters were tested. The results show a different approach for the K&N than the Mobil 1 and AMSOIL filters.
Filter Area Average Pore Size Flow
AMSOIL SDF 339 sq in 50 µm 13 oz/min
Mobil 1 299 sq in 52 µm 8.1 oz/min
K&N 343 sq in 63 µm 14.7 oz/min
You can see the K&N has about the same capacity of the AMSOIL SDF filter, more than Mobil 1, more flow than the AMSOIL and lots more than the Mobil 1, but sacrifices filtration with a bigger average pore size for that flow.
As a note, while these filters are all the same application (e.g. they all fit the same car) they are not the right part numbers for the C5/Z06.
The AMSOIL part is the SDF32.
