I did this last night. I only had room for 4 turns in front...those bolts get longer as you lower...

I did 5 turns on the rear but could have done more...I just wanted and even drop. I still had about 4 threadts left.

I think each car is a little different.

I've lowered mine on stock bolts, too. I turned the front and rear bolts to their maximum. The rear looks good but the front still has too much space between the tire and the top of the wheel well, even though the car is sitting level. Is this typical? I am curious as to what measurements everyone is getting front and rear on their wheel well openings so I can compare mine. I might have to cut my bushings but I'd like to know how much more this will lower the front? Everyone respond soon, I need to get this resolved quickly so I can get an alignment done soon. Thanks in advance to all who answer.

Default Mine was lowered...Now it's stock

I couldn't get up my girlfriends driveway. Car feels much more normal back up to normal ride height. Previous owner lowered it with stock bolts. I had to have the bolts replaced to put it back up. The bolts were frozen (from corrosion I guess...) My two cents.

Nice pics Iceman. A lowered C5 looks so mean and very stealthy.

debating whether to do this.....2002 Z06 less than 4,000 miles...not sure I want to do anything too drastic to it yet as its got so few miles I would hate to screw anything up or scrape up the bottom going down the road...

as it sits stock now it will scrape the front end on very small curbs going into driveways.

Been pondering this process as well. I got new rubber on the way and once it arrives I'm having them mounted and a 4 Wheel Alignment done.
In the meantime my Z06 shocks arrived along with the front and rear sway bars. While I have the car on the lift tonight to change out the shocks and bars I can do the lowering process. My concern is just HOW FAR should I go with the lowering ? If I max out the bolt adjustment is this going to prevent me from going over even the slightest bump without scraping the hell out of everything?

Will be doing the work within a few hours so i'm looking for some feedback
