I broke a clip on my stock air box and was thinking of getting an after market intead of stock I need some of your expert advise. This is the best intake out IMO. You will have some who say that this intake isn't good or it takes on water but that is . I've had mine for a while and have nothing but the highest praises for it. I've also seen HUGE number increases at the track because of it.
It does take a while to install but it's worth it. I'm glad I went with the Vararam but I did notice some dirt getting past my baja filter. I went ahead and replaced it and sealed in the K&N filter. I could tell a difference and I have had zero problems with water!

The only thing I would caution with the VR that I never saw mentioned is hood clearance if using a bigger MAF. I installed my VR after I had been running the SLP meter and never noticed that it had been touching the hood. It wore through the insulation and started chewing through the hood.
