Are the c6 z06 and c5 Baer rotors different? I'm sure Baer makes an Eradispeed for the c6 z06 that you could just use if the c5 was different.

My guess is that they will, but if I were you I would call HRE and find out before ordering. I am running HRE's 18" on the front and 19s on the rear. There is about 3/8 inch of clearence on both front and rears with the spokes.

Ya, I know it's old, but meets most of the criteria in the search...

This weekend, I mocked-up the new wheels (I went with 19x9's) and a Z06 caliper for fitment. Talk about close, the 'spokes' of the wheel are about 1/16" away from the caliper body...

I'll be going with the Carbotech Bobcat 1-piece pads instead of the OE pucks, and Coleman 2-piece slotted rotors.

Are you accounting for rotor thickness?

Does anyone know if hre 549 wheels 18x9.5 54mm and 19x11 58mm offset wheels fit these brakes? The tires if that matters at all are 275/35/18 and 305/35 or 30/19

I put them on my 2000 FRC and they work great, using the TSW Nurburgring 18's in the front and 19's in the back. No spacers required for brake clearance, I am running 10 mm spacers in the back for the TSW wheels offset is in a little to much..

What style of wheel did you have to use to accomidate the larger breaks. I'm still running c5 z06 breaks. I have 18" wheels in the front a 19" wheels in the back. I called the company I bought the wheels from and they said my c5 z06 brakes were fine- I already knew this- but they supposedly don't work with the c6 z06 upgrades.

I'm looking at adding this c6 z06 brake kit to my car and was wondering if after all these years later you'd still reccomend them?

My opinion, if you want a good improvement for a street car, yes the C6Z is a nice upgrade. If you are doing track time I would look at a more track oriented BBK such as Essex, Stoptech, or Doug Rippie.

my car is not tracked; i would love to track the car, I just don't want a cage in my car. I like playing on the twisty roads and endulging in cat and mouse with some of the other high end cars in my area: porches, ferraris, Maseratis, Etc... But as for track use, no. The most I do is take my cars to the drag strip every once in a while. I'm more worried about having a good set of brakes on the car since I added a blower. The c5 z06 brakes just don't really cut it. I own a c7 z07, so I know how a corvette should stop.

I appreciate the info. As long as you could vouch for them being a improvement and good for the street, that works for me.

I love what you have done with the car. Those c6 z06 brakes are sexy as ****, the wheels are kickass, and I'm not much of a spoiler guy for the c5 Vettes but damn your spoiler is in the perfect place, it is the perfect size, and just really looks good.
