DONT GET HYPED UP OVER THIS, guys.... just because it looks good..

They have no removeable bridge so the pads won't pop out like a race caliper. Then to change the rotor you will need to remove the caliper. Better than we had but probably not close to a good competition rotor. Then to up grade to SS pistons will be a ton of $$$$. The Wilwoods have thermlock pistons which is a big advantage. Every brake pad company makes pads for the Wilwood 7420 shape pad. Face it Chevy will never put the money into a good pad like a Brmbo like the Viper has.

Good for the street and they will look good but will lack many advantages of a race caliper like Stoptech, Wilwood, or Brembo. I would still like to see the weight of them also. JMHO

John - are the wilwood rears setup to retain the C5 E-brake?? And if they do retain the E-brake, do they require a larger master cylinder??

Go to Wilwood.com and they show the setup you are asking about. No new master is required. I got some stoptech 2 piece areo rotors from LG but only used them one day. They felt great and are slotted. I may put 13" rotors on the back with no E brake and the same Superlite 6 caliper on the back with smaller pistons near equal to the stock volume. They should last a long time. I guess Stoptech has the rears the same way for the E brakes as they are direct replacement rotors.

I could go with Stoptechs on front and move the front Wilwoods to the rear. Then I would need a bigger master and possible bias valve. Don't really think I need more than the Wilwoods for the 20-25 minute sessions I do. 14" rotors would be heavier also. Can't stand looking at the stock calipers any longer those grubby little things

Any chance we can get the part numbers off of the calipers, rotors and pads?
Also what brake lines did you use stainless?

Hi All,
Just as an FYI... we are getting an anonymous # of 2006 Z06 brake packages. I do not have the exact date we will get them yet, but when I do, we will start selling them on our website as a pre-sale item. Only those who pre-pay and those who pre-pay on our site will get them.

Tires, wheels and big brake systems can cost quite a bit. When I purchased my big brake kit, I was told it would fit my wheels... It didnt.... So I had to buy two new custom built sets of wheels and tires (race & street) to fit the new brake setup. That was quite expensive. So get out your check books and get ready to play with the big dogs on this one!!

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to let you know that I spoke with John at CCW and he informed me that the 505 19 x 10 fronts would require a 1/4" spacer and the rear 19 x 11 would require atleast a 3/4" spacer.

We have 2 sets on order for our personal cars, one we recieve them and install, we will try all of the wheels we have access to (CCW 505, Fiske 18", and aftermarket Z06 replica 18") and post the results.

I'm hoping John is wrong, but I doubt it. The CCW 505's might have to be replaced on my car, the brakes are just to good of a deal to pass up.

At least a 3/4" on the rear? That's A LOT. Let's say if it's an inch, geeeeeez that'd stick out A LOT. Would it be even safe to run on that large of a spacer?
