Default Why Does My Valve Cover Keep Leaking??

So far I've replaced the passenger valve cover twice in the last 2 months. It seems like it's seaping out of the bottom side of the cover and running down onto my header. What can cause this??
When it originally started I used some gasket sealer and it didnt work either.

I really need some opinions on how to correct this before I go nuts.

Jeff ask the guy's in OT. Have you wiped down the head and the gasket completely before installing the valve cover. Torque is 8 ft. lbs

As I stated in my thread in OT, I wont go back.. Its a waste of bandwidth.
I did everything you stated when I first did it, and it still leaks. Could I have an uneven surface? Maybe???

I don't know about an uneven surface as that would mean warped head or valve cover. What about a bad gasket? Should be fairly cheap to replace it.

Can I pose a theory? You're boosting the hell out of your crankcase and it has no where else to go. What was it 14psi?

Vent that crankcase already, would you?

For those who have not followed the PCV thread, we've had this discussion before.

Never thought to ask how much boost you were pushing into that motor. Gotta go with above time to vent the crankcase.

Your like my wife, Every time I walk into another room she's bit@hing in my ear to do something..

FINE, I'll change it today just for you... I swear, if it doesnt correct this problem i'm gonna nag you about it for years to come..

BTW, There is NO POSSIBLE way I can be boosting my CC. I may not be evacuating it properly, but i'm NOT boosting it..

That's hilarious. You crack me up.

No sense in gutting your system, just put a breather on the valve cover for a week as a test.

BTW why? Why are you so sure? All FI cars have blowby (most don't push 14psi) and all you have as an exit is a skinny 3/8" check valve restricted hole for a whole bunch of air to push out of. Come on now, I want to know. Where else is that pressure exiting the engine? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm? Valve cover gasket maybe, howa bout the main seals.

Hey! And if i'm right, you put me up for 3 nights and give me some "real" play money to lose at Bally's.
