I have a 2004 C5 LS1 cam that I pulled with only 500 miles on it before installing a larger cam. I can sell/ship it to you cheap if you're interested.

You're welcome. If you want to stay with a stock cam, I have a 2000 that I don't need anymore (had H/C installed) and will sell cheap. It has 25K on it and is perfect. It's the strongest of the stock LS1 cams. Just thought I'd toss that out there in case you may be interested and are doing your own work. In any event, good luck to you!

Take a look at my post. There was a 2001 Z06, also. However, power was 385hp, vs 405, and the cam and heads were different.

Hi,
If you don't mind I need a little info myself. I have 2004 Z06, I would like to know my cam specs, as well as my head specs. I'm looking to do a head & cam swap, I don't know which way to go. I want to swap the cam, and do springs retainers, rockers push rods lifters etc. on my stock heads. Or do cam, and CNC, port and polish Etc. on the stock heads. Or just do AFR heads, and matching cam.
If you have time I would appreciate your opinion.
Thank you,
Bill

you need to mention how much whp you want to make, will it be street driven or just the strip, do you have emissions testing

details like that are necessary for any informed opinion

02-04 z06 use the same cam and all years used 243 casting heads which carried over to the 05-07 ls2

Thanks for the reply,
I would like to be in the 450 area, at the rear wheels. I'll be driving mostly in the streets, very little strip. I'm not sure what you mean about emissions testing. I'm in New Jersey, I would like to pass emissions, if that is what you mean?
Thanks,
