Default x pipe design?

I'm looking for an x pipe to minimize the motorboat idle on my Corsa Indys. The Corsa x pipe mimics the factory h pipe (without the connecting pipe) in that each tube remains separate with a siamese opening between the two runners. The Bassanis seem to restrict the straight though flow of each pipe in the x design, kind of directing the gasses into both rear pipes. The magnaflow seems to actually direct the flow across to the other pipe, crossing over in the middle. Please share your thoughts on any benefits or weaknesses on each design. Sorry to but I'm new to the C5 realm. Thanks.

I think the Magnaflow does a better job of taking advantage of the scavaging effect of the alternate exhaust pulses than the Corsa. But, I thought that the Bassani was almost identicle to the Magnaflow in design. I went with Magnaflow and it seems to work great.

Don't forget Dr. Gas, has to be a custom job though.

Invented by Dr. Gas in the mid 80's, the xpipe type crossover junction has revolutionized performance exhaust science. We make MUSIC in every form of motor sports. Our round crossover kits install into full-length headers or splice into most existing dual exhaust systems. Available in 2" to 6"sizes (custom and 4" and larger kits are special order). When installed they will take up approximately the first 3 to 4 feet of the exhaust system.

The junctions are welded, but inlets and outlets must be trimmed to fit. See the NASCAR® portion of the catalog for ovalized systems. When selecting a size it is suggested you match the collector/ head pipe/ converter outlet diameter with the size of the crossover.

Custom Dr. Gas Tandem Crossover Junction made to fit your application. Center-to-center spacing mesurment is required.

We custom make these type of junctions to order for many applications. They are popular on truck, Corvettes, Camaros, and many applications where both pipes are in close proximity. Splayed non-parallel junctions are also available. Inlet and outlet locations to your specifications. You supply us with the dimensions you need and we will do the rest.
