emergency brake weirdness!?!?

emergency brake weirdness!?!?
ok, sometimes i pull up on my emergency brake and it is dead...i pump it a few times and the tension is back on it again. a few days later whamo, the tension is completely gone again till i pump it again. ok #1 WHY? #2 does it need to be fixed?

theres a write up on this.... it mentions that you can lift the handl repeatedly a few times and it forces the click wheel on the brakes to click a few over and tighten. It also mentioned that if you cannot tighten it by lifting the handle then you have to go in and take the rotors off to adjust it manually. I will try to find the post and post it.

try going in reverse and slamming on the e brake... i had a weak e break and did this a cpl of times and it tightened up a bit... im gonna take my rotor off over christmas break and tighten it myself.
