Lexan Top Questions
2001 , glass (Lexan) top de-laminating. Are there any good threads on this or has anyone had any luck in conversations with GM on replacement or service advisories? I have been top there ia a recall out there, but I have not been able to prove this? Aloha from Hawaii

That is actually pretty good life that coating considering you are in Hawaii.
I will ask some people I know if they are interested in seeing it...
We coat these types of products.. our competitors do the Corvette top. I think they have changed now.
I will ask some visitors in our plant tomorrow (coating supplier) if they know what was used on it for that year.

5 years on a top that sits in the hot sun all year round. Thats good. No recalls have been issued, I have not even seen a TSB.
If it that bad, get a good used one here on the parts forum or try e-bay. I purchased a 1 year old top for $400.
